To make the most of valuable time and personnel, leading organizations recognize a need for technology tools and processes that can place team decision-making capabilities at their fingertips while accessing the creativity and risk-taking only possible with appropriate anonymity.
The dynamics of any meeting or workshop may differ, but one thing remains constant: It’s difficult to get full involvement and full productivity from all participants. When decisions must be made, prioritization and consensus building can be time-consuming and frustrating. Cumbersome processes and lack of confidentiality can impede otherwise productive sessions, leading to wasted time, inappropriate bias, or unvoiced opinions. Results can be incomplete in terms of action planning and commitments.
The Innovator® addresses topics ranging from an individual unit of analysis, such as critical leadership competencies, to organizational issues, such as critical success factors. Team planning activities encourage participants to work together in creating innovative solutions while simultaneously aligning with the overall direction of the organization. Through this system, participants will see their level of consensus and be able to quickly prioritize issues, and anonymously generate feedback about proposed actions. Votes are instantly counted and displayed, making the Innovator extremely efficient and effective.
The Innovator is a group-decision support system that utilizes advanced group polling software and professional group process facilitation to supply immediate feedback from all members of the audience. The program can be used with up to 250 participants, but the ideal group size ranges from 12 to 18 people.
By pressing a number on the voting keypad, each participant can cast an anonymous vote that is instantly counted and displayed in a limitless variety of charts, graphs, or tables. Output from the central system is immediately shown on a large projection screen or several television monitors. Sessions can be designed to last from two hours to two days.
